On this episode I talked with Gabrielle about how performing on stage as always been her passion, getting to go on the 30th National Tour of Annie as Kate where she understudied Annie as kid, auditioning as a kid vs. auditioning as an adult and how it’s different, the reason she chose to study theatre at Boston Conservatory and why she loved the program there, auditioning for Dear Evan Hansen and eventually being brought in as a vacation understudy for Zoe and Alana then getting bumped up to the full time Zoe and Alana understudy, the moment she learned she would be taking over as the lead Zoe in Dear Evan Hansen, what it was like stepping into Zoe’s shoes and making the character her own, what she thinks makes Dear Evan Hansen such a special show, and MUCH MORE!

Gabrielle began to pursue musical theater professionally, starting at age 11 when she joined the 30th Anniversary Tour of Annie, playing Kate and understudying Annie. Gabrielle continued to perform professionally and educationally, eventually leading her to pursue her B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from The Boston Conservatory. She is currently making her Broadway debut in the company of Dear Evan Hansen playing Zoe Murphy, after understudying the role of both Zoe and Alana for a year. Previous favorite credits include Burn All Night (ART) and Sweetwater (Godspeed Opera House).
