On this episode, I talked with Lyndie about finding out she loved performing through starting out yodeling as a kid, how starting out yodeling in the long run helped her vocal technique and vocal strength and helped her become a well rounded performer, how going to Rider University for even a short time before getting cast as Maureen in Rent helped her to be prepared to take on a leading role on a national tour, what her audition for Rent was like, why she thinks Rent is still a beloved show to this day, life on the road, self confidence, how she spent her time during quarantine, and much more!
After starting out yodeling as kid Lyndie discovered her passion for performing and the arts and started to gravitate towards theatre, Lyndie is a Wilmington, Delaware native and attended Cab Calloway School of the Arts there. She also participated in Kimmel Center’s Broadway Dreams program. After attending college at Rider University in New Jersey for a year, Lyndie was cast as Maureen on the National Tour of Rent in 2017 - present.
