On this episode I talked with Alex about how he transitioned from aspiring to be a teacher to discovering his passion for acting during high school, his college experience at Emerson College where he graduated with a BFA in acting, his desire to inspire future theater makers, his audition for Albus Potter in "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child," and the supportive atmosphere he encountered, the journey to making his Broadway debut, from the rehearsal process to the excitement of his opening night on Broadway, the unique nature of live theater, where each performance is shaped by audience reactions, making it a distinct experience, insights into his character, Albus, who he portrays as a misunderstood teenager striving for individuality while navigating societal expectations, his enthusiasm for video games, “Next To Normal”, dream roles, the emotional impact of storytelling in theatre, and much more!

Alex Serino (he/they)
Alex grew up on the Northshore of Massachusetts, where he began his career and journey as an actor. He has been seen all around Massachusetts, whether at Emerson College, Weston Drama Workshop, or his hometown, Peabody!
Some of his notable stage credits include: Albus Potter in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway, Avram the Ingenue in Indecent, and SpongeBob in The SpongeBob Musical at Weston Drama Workshop, as well as CB in Dog Sees God and Henry in Next to Normal at Emerson College. His film credits include Frank in I Don’t Want To Drink Your Blood Anymore, Max in Afterworld, and The Conservator in Imitation of Art.
In the professional world, he is also a director, fight coordinator, bartender, and educator. And for fun, he can be found playing a wide variety of video games, making cocktails, or playing the jazz trombone.
He has just recently moved to NYC and has started his run in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway as Albus Potter.
