DJ Plunkett (he/him)

DJ is originally from Lynn, Massachusetts and started his professional career very young in the greater Boston theatre scene at North Shore Music Theatre and Stoneham Theatre. Some credits include NSMT's signature holiday production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL (2007 & 2010) and the regional premier of DISNEY'S HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2. He was also very fortunate to workshop many of Music Theatre International's (MTI) Disney Junior series in the original stagings of DISNEY'S MULAN JR., DISNEY'S ALICE IN WONDERLAND JR. and DISNEY'S THE JUNGLE BOOK KIDS.

Before moving to Cincinnati for school, he collaborated on the concert WHO I'LL BE which can be seen on youtube (featured on Broadwayworld.com) with his best friends Katy Geraghty (Groundhog Day), Alex Newell (Glee), and Mary Janus.

While living in Cincinnati, he had a blast performing at Kings Island Theme Park as a swing; covering over five tracks in two shows over the course of his college summers. He had the great pleasure of leading the company of BIG RIVER as Huckleberry Finn in the final season aboard the historic Showboat Majestic, America's oldest and last of it’s kind floating theatre. DJ was awarded Best Leading Actor in a Musical for the role on broadwayworld.com's 2013 Cincinnati Awards.

At CCM, DJ had the pleasure of working directly with original musical arranger Dave Clemmons on a revamped version of THE CIVIL WAR as Nathaniel Taylor. Other highlights were the brand new production of CARRIE directed by Aubrey Berg and THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE as Leaf Coneybear. But the coolest thing ever for him was working with ZFX Flying Effects to make his final appearance at CCM flying as Michael Darling in the main stage production of PETER PAN.

Regionally, check out the reviews and photos from a magical production of DISNEY'S THE LITTLE MERMAID (Flounder) at Arkansas Repertory Theatre and a terrifyingly intimate production of SWEENEY TODD (Tobias Ragg) at the Human Race Theatre Company. He was also in the inaugural production of BIG RIVER (Young Fool) at Unquowa Rep starring Javier Colon.

DJ also love working in tv/film and voice over. He filmed THE FUNHOUSE MASSACRE opposite Clint Howard. Also, if you look really closely you may catch him in A KIND OF MURDER starring Patrick Wilson and Jessica Biel. AND definitely check out his cameo in Alex Newell's music video Basically Over You!

While in NYC, DJ performed in the 2015 Broadway Rising Stars Concert at the Town Hall and sung back up for various Broadway and cabaret artists at Town Hall, Feinstein's/54 Below, JAZZ at Lincoln Center and The Metropolitan Room.

He's currently just finished touring the country in the North American company of Broadway's WICKED where he played Boq.
